Belén Romero Gunset (Tucumán, 1983) es una artista multidisciplinaria que vive y trabaja entre Buenos Aires y Chubut. Es licenciada en Artes Plásticas por la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (2010). Su formación incluye, entre otros, el Programa de Artistas de la Universidad Torcuato Di Tella con beca YPF (2010) y actualmente el programa de la Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture (Maine, EE. UU., 2026).
Realizó residencias artísticas en FAAP (São Paulo, 2025), Bildwechsel (Hamburgo, 2023), Atelier Mondial (Basilea, 2021) y Arte en Loco (Río de Janeiro, 2010).
Ha realizado numerosas exposiciones individuales y colectivas en Argentina y en el exterior. Sus muestras individuales más recientes se presentaron en el Centro Cultural Recoleta (2026), el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires (2025) y Ungallery (2024). Entre las colectivas, participó en Bienal Sur, Brasil (2025), y en exposiciones en el MALBA, la Fundación Proa, el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes y el Parque de la Memoria.
Recibió, entre otros reconocimientos, el Premio Reconocimiento Artístico UADE 2024, el Premio Incentivo Sor Josefa Díaz y Clucellas 2025 y el 2.º Premio Fundación Andreani 2023. Obtuvo becas y apoyos de Activar Patrimonio (2023), Oxenford (2017, 2023) y el Fondo Nacional de las Artes (2013, 2021).
Su práctica se sitúa en el cruce entre arte, investigación y activismo contemporáneo. A través de performance, instalación, fotografía, video y pintura, desarrolla una obra atravesada por perspectivas ecofeministas, queer y posthumanistas, donde la alegría, la memoria territorial y la disidencia operan como formas activas de resistencia y transformación social. Su obra integra colecciones públicas y privadas.

Belén Romero Gunset (Tucumán, 1983) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works between Buenos Aires and Chubut. She holds a degree in Visual Arts from the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (2010). Her training includes, among others, the Artists Program at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella with a YPF scholarship (2010) and she is currently participating in the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture program (Maine, USA, 2026).
She has undertaken artistic residencies at FAAP (São Paulo, 2025), Bildwechsel (Hamburg, 2023), Atelier Mondial (Basel, 2021) and Arte en Loco (Rio de Janeiro, 2010).
She has presented numerous solo and group exhibitions in Argentina and abroad. Her most recent solo exhibitions were presented at the Centro Cultural Recoleta (2026), the Museum of Contemporary Art of Buenos Aires (2025) and Ungallery (2024). Her group exhibitions include Bienal Sur, Brazil (2025), and shows at MALBA, Fundación Proa, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Parque de la Memoria.
She has received, among other distinctions, the Premio Reconocimiento Artístico UADE 2024, the Premio Incentivo Sor Josefa Díaz y Clucellas 2025 and the 2nd Prize Fundación Andreani 2023. She has been supported by grants from Activar Patrimonio (2023), Oxenford (2017, 2023) and the Fondo Nacional de las Artes (2013, 2021).
Her practice sits at the intersection of art, research and contemporary activism. Working across performance, installation, photography, video and painting, she develops a body of work informed by ecofeminist, queer and posthumanist perspectives, in which joy, territorial memory and dissidence operate as active forms of resistance and social transformation. Her work is held in public and private collections.
