Camionera forma parte de la serie Forma L, resultado de una investigación iniciada en 2019 que busca visibilizar y formalizar elementos de la cultura lésbica. Mediante encuestas, entrevistas, análisis de archivos, escritura y trabajo colectivo en Rosario, Basilea, Hamburgo y Buenos Aires, la serie compone un mapa fragmentado y sensible del imaginario lésbico contemporáneo. Camionera cita y reinterpreta la obra de Lucio Fontana: aquí el corte vertical es una acción performativa, y del tajo emerge la luz. El color amarillo remite al código “lemon”, usado en Inglaterra para referirse a lesbianas, cuyo origen documenté durante mi residencia en Hamburgo. La pieza retoma el estereotipo de la “camionera” —figura simbólica y visible de la cultura lésbica— y se construye con lona de camión, resignificada en clave escultórica: monumental, elegante y poderosa. La obra desplaza sentidos y tensiona los estereotipos, afirmando su lugar en el espacio con una presencia desafiante, luminosa y alegre.

Truck Dyke is part of the Forma L series, the result of an ongoing investigation launched in 2019 that seeks to give visibility and form to elements of lesbian culture. Through surveys, interviews, archival analysis, writing, and collective work in Rosario, Basel, Hamburg, and Buenos Aires, the series constructs a fragmented and sensitive map of contemporary lesbian imaginaries. This piece references and reinterprets the work of Lucio Fontana: here, the vertical cut is a performative act, and from the slash, light emerges. The yellow color alludes to the “lemon” code used in England to refer to lesbians, a reference I documented during my residency in Hamburg.The work reclaims the stereotype of the “truck dyke”—a symbolic and visible figure in lesbian culture—and is constructed from truck tarp, reimagined as sculpture: monumental, elegant, and powerful. The piece shifts meanings and challenges stereotypes, asserting its place in space with a luminous, joyful, and defiant presence.
